The Scholarship Committee makes awards on the basis of merit and need combined. The total amount of aid provided depends on the student’s artistic promise and on the financial circumstances of the student and his or her family. To apply, students should submit (using this form) for financial aid by August, in the Fall, and January in the Spring. Scholarship funds are almost fully supplied by donation, and therefore can fluctuate from year to year. We generally receive more scholarships than we are able to fulfill completely, as submissions are many. This is why we ask that students receiving financial assistance maintain good attendance and fully participate in classes they are registered to attend.
Scholarships are awarded as quickly as possible before the semester begins, and we strive to notify recipients of their financial plan as soon as they are finalized.
Applicants may be asked to attend an audition for an assessment.
Scholarships submitted after the deadline will be considered on a case-by-base basis.
