Partnering with our community is a large part of the EAS vision, reflecting our belief that being a Christian artist is more than appearing on stage, but serving others by giving both our time and talent to a number of outreach programs.
It is our desire to become active in community arts projects, enabling gifted students from each of the disciplines taught, to partner with other organizations presenting pieces annually to health care facilities, orphanages, and agencies serving the disadvantaged.
These art presentations are free to local hospitals, nursing homes, alternative care facilities, orphanages, and agencies serving the disadvantaged. These opportunities encourage students to grow artistically while serving the community with their creative gifts. The students will not only perform, but share informally about their art form and their faith on a personal level.
Because we realize that art can effect change in culture, EAS is committed to offering quality productions, both original works and classics, to the community that will not only promote good moral values, but will provide opportunities for individuals to experience the manifested presence of God.
Local School Education Programs
The EAS Local School Education Program places teachers-in-training in local schools. Through the EAS teachers-in-training support system, this program prepares a new generation of performers/educators. Our teachers-in-training, whose desire is to instill knowledge in others of various art forms, will be molded through rigorous training and invaluable practical experience.
The EAS Local School Education Program works to bring a lasting love of the arts to young students in school systems that may not otherwise be prepared to offer adequate arts training. In bringing school children a qualified, dedicated teacher-in-training, the programs ensure an integrated educational plan with the potential to transform young lives.
This program is offered to schools that are able to form meaningful partnerships with EAS and are selected based on their ability to house and provide space and administrative support for the programs within their existing framework. Teachers participate in an annual training program that prepares them for their roles as teachers/partners.
The Performance Partnership offers EAS students the opportunity to interact quarterly with local public school students and teachers by extending invitations to experience specially created arts presentations, both classical and original works, featuring a diversity of art disciplines prepared by the students of EAS in order to expose and give pupils a better appreciation of the arts and the power of their message.
This program will also be offered to the body of Christ, through building relationships with local churches and/or ministries.
EAS will work with other non-profit agencies in supporting children and youth by offering scholarships and specialized arts programs for mentally, socially, physically and financially challenged kids.
