LOTS of stuff going on in the next few weeks so let's dive in:
1. A Million Dreams Fundraiser.
If you haven't picked up your Giving Grid, head to one of our reception desks and get your very own. Great work to all of you who have been filling in those squares and seeking donations. If you're a little unclear at what this is all about, take a look at the short video below. Pastor Joani explains how and WHY we are embarking on this huge fundraising campaign.
2. Ostrich Festival Parade
This Saturday! Join us in Downtown Chandler for the 30th annual Ostrich Festival AND Parade. EAS will be walking, along with our float. Official start time is 10am (EAS is one of the last in the procession), and the parade route travels along Arizona Avenue from Ray Rd. to Chandler Blvd. Come support us and cheer on your kids. If you're on the EAS floor this week, grab some business cards and hand them out to the other spectators around you. We are not allowed to pass out anything from our float, so this will help us get the word out as to who we are.
3. Esther Cast and Parents Meeting - This Sunday, March 4th | 3:00-4:00pm
Join P. Joani and the team for a quick meeting to update you on all things Esther and rally the cast for the final stretch as we head into rehearsals and shows coming in May.
4. Sneak Peek & Spring Break!
Starting on Monday (March 5th) we will once again be having Sneak Peek Week. This is where parents and families are encouraged to come pop in to the last 15 minutes of your child's class and see what they've been learning and working on. No visitor badge or special check-in is required. If you have multiple children in multiple classes at the same time, see one of our receptionists and they'll help you get to all the classes.
The following week (March 12-15) is Spring Break! Have fun, relax, and enjoy your time off! Classes will resume Monday, March 19th.
5. Wash-A-Thon - Outreach Project
Experience Arts School [E.A.S.] has community outreaches every year. This year we are having a Wash-A-Thon for the I-Help group (homeless women that need overnight shelter, the church houses them several times a month) that is served at Hillsong Church Phoenix, Mesa Campus. This will be an amazing time of fellowship as we wash laundry for them and put together little bags of the essentials that each woman will need. This is a family event, so please come and bring everyone. We have cards of encouragement to make, laundry to fold, and baggies to assemble, so there will be something for everyone.
March 9th. The event will run from 2:00pm until 6:30pm.
The actual wash-a-thon will be at Plaza Laundromat at 4815 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85205, between Higley and Greenfield on Main.. With 3 shifts available:
Please follow this link to sign up:
- Quarter drive. We will be collecting quarters to wash the linens for the I-Help women. There will be a bag for each class to collect quarters. The class that collects the most quarters will have a party with little goodies supplied by EAS.
- Small item donations. We will be collecting toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, travel tissue pack, wet wipes, chapstick, and sunscreen. The women have to be able to carry everything they have with them every day. So please do not bring full size items.
For all questions and to pick your shift, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing you and partnering with our community through I-Help.
