Hey EAS fam,

Let's dive in with some important updates.

1. Sneak Peek Week

SneakPeekWeek starts tomorrow, Monday Oct. 2nd and lasts till Thursday, October 5th. #SPW is a great way to see what your student has been up to and get a glimpse at what they're preparing for the Fall Show. Feel free to pop-in to the last 15 minutes of your child's class. If you have multiple kids in multiple classes at the same time, see our receptionist so we can get you in earlier.

2. Auditions

In order to ensure everyone has a chance to be included in this production, we have decided to extend the audition window by 2 more weeks. We will continue to promote the open call, and also ask that you and/or your child invite or mention to a friend the upcoming additional audition times (everything is more fun with friends). We are REALLY excited about this production and want to be sure that we can include everyone who might be interested.

Our additional audition dates will be:

Tuesday October 10th 7-9PM AND Thursday October 12th 7-9PM

Experience Arts School 655 E. University Dr. Mesa, AZ 85203 - Generations Center (most northwestern building on campus) 2nd floor. Follow the signs for auditions and be sure to fill out the audition form and pick your night!

3. State Fair & Fall Break

This year our performing companies will not be performing at the fair but we are planning a fun informal EAS night to hang and play at the Fair on October 14th (More details to come). Because of our late start this semester we will NOT be taking off for Fall Break, and all classes will continue as scheduled.

As always, if you have questions or comments about anything please message us at facebook.com/EASonline or info@eas.online

March 3rd, 2017

Hey EAS fam,

Lots of info in this Newsflash, so let's dive in:

Starting on Monday (March 6th) we will once again be having Sneak Peek Week. This is where parents and family are encouraged to come pop in to the last 15 minutes of your child's class and see what they've been learning and working on. No visitor badge or special check-in is required. If you have multiple children in multiple classes at the same time, see one of our receptionists and they'll help you get to all the classes.

The following week (March 13-16) is Spring Break! Have fun, relax, and enjoy your time off! Classes will resume Monday, March 20th.

If you have kids you already know this cold & flu session has been brutal. So in an effort to keep your kids and our staff as healthy as can be, we would like to ask that if your child has had a fever in the previous 24 hours, that you please keep them home from classes and allow them to get well. No one likes to miss, but it will help them get well faster, and keep germs from spreading to the rest of their friends. We have also purchased additional non-alcohol based hand sanitizers and disinfectant sprays for our rooms. As always, if you have questions please message us at facebook.com/EASonline or by email at - info@eas.online

The Colour Conference is much more than an annual event that gathers thousands of women of all age, status and background. It is a story that now spans two decades and is several generations deep in its desire to champion the value, worth and contribution of women. It is hosted in several major cities around the world, with the heroes in the story being the individual girls who have risen in belief, potential and stature to bring influence, change and justice to their diverse and everyday worlds.

At the core of the conference is the story of divine grace and the wonder of a gracious God who desires only the best for His daughters. It is also a “leadership and humanitarian” conference, seeking (again) to inspire women to be the change they desire in the world. The Colour Sisterhood (and foundation) is continually encouraging pathways to raise awareness and bring solution to the many pressing issues of this current global climate.

Colour is a premium faith-inspired event hosted by Bobbie Houston and Hillsong Church. The intent is to always honor the King of Heaven, and refresh those attending. Creativity, worship and the presentation of God’s timeless and proven Word (the bible) are foundational, along with an unpretentious and fabulous environment that welcomes everyone.

Join thousands of women of all ages, nations and backgrounds gathered and united under one roof. Immerse yourself in personal “time out.” Time for connection, creativity, wonder and worship. An environment to inspire the soul and empower the spirit.

Hey EAS Fam,

Happy New Year! With the Spring semester less than 2 weeks away, we wanted to get some important info and updates in your hands.

Matching Contributions - We would like to invite you to join with EAS and our Founder, Joani Castillo, in a dollar-for-dollar matching challenge. Pastor Joani has committed to match up to $250 in funds and EAS has pledged $500 for the first donations up to that amount. In other words, if you make a tax-deductible pledge of $250 or $500, EAS will actually receive $500/$1000.  EAS uses these tax-deductible donations to supply our scholarship fund. Every semester we receive between $5000-$7000 in requests, so the need is always great. With your help we are able to fulfill almost %100 of the requests that come in for assistance. It’s directly because of these generous donations that students are able to connect with their Creator and find their purpose through the arts. Please take a moment and consider partnering with us and DOUBLE your efforts with our matching contributions.

Donations can be made online HERE, by mail, or in person at our office. Please message us here, or by email, to setup a meeting time at our office if needed.

December 28th, 2016

Hey EAS family!

Jesse here, wishing you an early Happy New Year! I hope your Christmas was filled with lots of family and laughter, and a good showing of presents never hurts either. As we approach the new year I wanted to let you know about a few things.

1. Every semester we award between $5000-$7000 in scholarships to deserving students. As we continue to grow as a community, we are in constant need of new partnerships with you our family. I would like to personally ask you to take a moment and think about making a tax-deductible donation toward our Spring scholarship fund. Every dollar we receive goes straight into our fund for kids. The need is always great, but time and again our EAS family has shown an equally great generous spirit which has continually allowed us to fulfill almost %100 of the scholarship requests that we receive. Thanks to the willing support of parents and extended family we have been able to provide hundreds of students the opportunity to develop their craft, become part of a family and grow closer to their Creator through EAS. I am truly believing that this will be our best year yet at EAS and I am excited to see where God takes us.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (MSG) Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night.

Donations can be made online HERE, by mail, or in person at our office. Please message us here, or by email, to setup a meeting time at our office if needed. The deadline to receive tax credit for 2016, is December 31st before midnight.

Hey EAS family!

Another Fall is starting and I have to say I am really looking forward to all that is planned. It's exciting seeing all the new AND old faces, and it's great seeing our family grow . So before we get too far into the semester I wanted to be sure and give everyone some basic info.

Open Enrollment

Everything's better when you bring a friend, and with 3 weeks left in open enrollment, there's still plenty of time to invite one. Remember, if you refer someone new to EAS we'll waive their registration fee. Just make sure they mention you on their registration form.

Dress Code & What to Wear

This is sometimes a confusing question, so Ms. Anna, one of our dance directors, created a whole page devoted to what to wear for each class. Including picture examples and even some links to purchase. As always, if you have questions or your child told you something different and you're thoroughly confused, message us at facebook.com/EASonline or shoot us an email - info@eas.online and we'll get you hooked up.

Dinner Fundraiser - Tuesday August 23 3:30-8:30pm @ Fresh Millions

A new restaurant near us (60&Alma School) has reached out and offered us a pretty sweet deal to come in and eat and receive %50 of all our sales back to EAS. Just grab a flyer from one of our receptionists and bring it along Tuesday, August 23rd. You can also save and print it directly from here. Grab some food as you head to class or if you're just out and about. Fresh Millions is new but is already getting 4 1/2 stars on Yelp for it's fresh, healthy and affordable food. Be sure to check out their site below. You can use the flyer for dine-in AND carryout.

Stay Connected

NEWSFLASH! What you're reading right now is our primary method when we need to get lots of info out. We will generally send a SMS/text blast telling you that a Newsflash is up, and it will include a direct link. We will include school news, upcoming events, recaps and messages from directors/teachers about the progress of the semester. For late breaking news and pics/vids from week to week, we primarily use facebook.com/EASonline & twitter.com/EAStweet. Be sure to LIKE & FOLLOW our pages so you can get an inside look at the daily life of our #EASfamily. And most importantly don't forget the hashtag #EASyesyesyes!

Contacting us. If you ever need to get ahold of us, by far the fastest method is using facebook.com/EASonline and sending us a direct message. Our entire staff has access to this messaging and that's why we're able to respond much quicker. You can also email us at info@eas.online.

We do have a Floor Phone that students can use to call out from, and if you need to reach a member of our staff right away to report an absence or emergency. You can also send an SMS to this phone if it just to report an absence. This phone is not for general questions or billing 602-730-5045.

We are trying our best to schedule really far in the future so that you can have a heads up and be able to plan accordingly. As I said before, I'm super expectant for everything God has in store for your kids and our extended EAS family this semester. Thanks for trusting us with your people and for partnering with us to help build something great.

Summer Camp Newsflash

Hey Parents!

Can you believe performance camp is close to wrapping up? Neither can we. We’ve been having a great time and your kids are doing awesome. Our devotion time each morning has been really strong. Our EAS directors have been teaching on Identity in Christ. For us as artists and creatives, it’s important that we continue to hear that our value and worth is not tied to our gifting and our talent, but is found solely in Christ, as His sons and daughters. Another topic we are always talking about is how our camp requires lots of focus and self control, especially for younger campers. It’s not like a Boys & Girls club camp or City Day Camp, because we are learning music, dance, acting and even production elements, all in a extremely short time frame, it takes a lot of concentration and heart. Let me just say again, they’ve been smashing it. A lot of work, but a ton of fun too. We think you’re going to be really proud when you see the show they’ve created, all in just 7 short days.

So, some things to note for the next couple of days. We will mostly be running the full show in prep for performance night on Thursday. Make sure you pack healthy lunches, plenty of water, and that you try and get to bed early on Wednesday night. Thursday will be a full day. We will start at our normal time (9:00am) but we will have early release so that you can have an early dinner, go home, or just regroup before the performance that evening. If you are unable to pick up your student, or will be late arriving, we will have staff on site till call time and will have a movie playing (Zootopia - PG). What to wear, hair & make-up are at the bottom of this email.

Here’s the schedule for Thursday, June 23rd:

9:00am - Camp Starts

12:00pm - Lunch

2:30pm - Early Release

5:00pm - Call Time for All Performers

5:20pm-6:30 - Run Thru

6:45pm Doors Open

7:00pm - Show Start

If you have any questions, please message us at http://facebook.com/EASonline or info@eas.online

Just look under "Spring Show 2016" or CLICK HERE.  If your student is scheduled for any earlier "on-stage" time, their instructor will personally be contacting you with those details. As always, if you have questions,  the fastest way to get ahold of us is to message us at - http://facebook.com/EASonline or info@eas.online

2. Silent auction items are listed and live, and we are taking bids now! Definitely take a look at what we have to offer and place your early bid. This is shaping up to be our best silent auction yet, and there is a wide assortment of really great items. We will continue to update the page as we receive donations, so baskets may get even better than they are now. CLICK HERE to browse & bid. If you still have an item to donate for the silent auction, please bring it by our office by May 11th.

3. Food for the show. We will provide a nice mix of healthy and filling food for your student on show nights, but on rehearsal nights, we will only have light snacks and water on hand. So if your student will need a full meal, please send it with them to their dress rehearsal. If you would like to donate or make something for rehearsal night, please shoot us an email at info@eas.online and we'll add it to our list.

4. Monday night (May 9th) is the last official night of class, so if your student has any TUES/WED/THURS classes, enjoy your week break and we'll see you at your scheduled dress rehearsal.

If you have any questions about anything, please don't hesitate to message on facebook.com/EASonline or by email at info@eas.online
