Semester End Parties!

Good Evening EAS Families!

Where has this year gone?  And Christmas is just around the corner!  Just can't believe how quickly the time has flown by!

With that in mind, wanted to remind everyone we only have TWO weeks of classes left in this semester.  AND to invite you to our semester-end in-class demonstration/class Christmas Parties.  You are invited to attend your child's class, at their regularly scheduled class times, and see what they have been working on these past months.  The presentation will be anywhere from 20-40 minutes, depending on the class, and conclude with a small Christmas party where students are invited to bring a treat to share with their classmates.  Parents, Friends, and Family are all invited to join our celebration, and will be brought into the classroom soon after its official start time. (Teachers/Students may take a few minutes to gather themselves before you're invited in.)

Every class will have their in-class demonstration/Christmas Party the last week of classes, December 3-6.  The EXCEPTION is our Tuesday Aerial and Dance classes.  Because the Family Life Center, where our classes are generally held, is being used that night by Vineyard Church, those classes ONLY will have their presentation next Tuesday, November 27th.  These Aerial and Dance, Tuesday classes WILL have their last class on December 4th, in the church auditorium, as we have had every first Tuesday of the month this past semester.

In summary:

1)  Classes are happening, per usual, for two more weeks.

2)  Tuesday, November 27th (Vineyard Campus): Semester-End Demonstration/Christmas Party for all TUESDAY Aerial/Dance Classes ONLY.  (Music/Theatre will conduct their regular classes this night)

2)  Monday, December 3rd (Church for the Nations Campus):  Semester-End Demonstration/Christmas Party for ALL Monday Classes.

3)  Tuesday, December 4th (Vineyard Campus):  Semester-End Demonstration/Christmas Party for Music and Theatre Classes only.   Aerials/Dance will have their regularly scheduled classes this night.

4)  Thursday, December 6th (Vineyard Campus):  Semester-End Demonstration/Christmas Party for ALL Thursday Classes.

Parents, what you need to know:

1)  You may attend EVERY class your child is registered for, based on the above schedule, to see their progress.

2)  Please have your student bring a treat to share with their class for the Christmas Party at the conclusion of the Demonstration

3)  If you have multiple children registered in classes at the same time, feel free to pop in and out as necessary.

I hope you will make every effort to attend your child's class(es) for their special presentation.  They've been working really hard and I know they are excited to show you what they have learned.  And please, feel free to invite family and friends.

Also, we will be offering some special 'Christmas Deals' our last week of classes including some of our new EAS log shirts, hoodies etc.  PLUS EAS gift certificates.  What a GREAT gift to give for Christmas!

Can't wait to see you all!

Joani Castillo

EAS Founder/Artistic Director

P.S.  Watch your emails for information related to our upcoming performances/parades, auditions for Companies, and our Spring Semester.

Esther the Musical
Tonight - 7:00pm

Presented by Experience Arts School

A light but dramatic full-length musical production about an orphaned Jewish girl who becomes Queen of Persia, and discovers that her people are to be annihilated by royal decree.  She is forced to trust God through frightening circumstances, with the survival of her entire race seemingly resting on her shoulders; this is not a ‘traditional’ Biblical retelling of this story, but instead embraces a creative nod towards 60'ss and 70's bohemian flair. A fun filled evening of song and dance await, and will enterain and move the whole family!

THIS SHOW IS SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES
Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain.

Parades, Outreaches and More!

Hey Fam,

LOTS of stuff going on in the next few weeks so let's dive in:

1. A Million Dreams Fundraiser.

If you haven't picked up your Giving Grid, head to one of our reception desks and get your very own. Great work to all of you who have been filling in those squares and seeking donations. If you're a little unclear at what this is all about, take a look at the short video below. Pastor Joani explains how and WHY we are embarking on this huge fundraising campaign.

2. Ostrich Festival Parade

This Saturday! Join us in Downtown Chandler for the 30th annual Ostrich Festival AND Parade. EAS will be walking, along with our float. Official start time is 10am (EAS is one of the last in the procession), and the parade route travels along Arizona Avenue from Ray Rd. to Chandler Blvd. Come support us and cheer on your kids. If you're on the EAS floor this week, grab some business cards and hand them out to the other spectators around you. We are not allowed to pass out anything from our float, so this will help us get the word out as to who we are.

IF YOU OR A CHILD ARE IN THE PARADE (OR WOULD LIKE TO HELP SETUP THE FLOAT) PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR THE PARADE DETAILS PAGE

4. Sneak Peek & Spring Break!

Starting on Monday (March 5th) we will once again be having Sneak Peek Week. This is where parents and families are encouraged to come pop in to the last 15 minutes of your child's class and see what they've been learning and working on. No visitor badge or special check-in is required. If you have multiple children in multiple classes at the same time, see one of our receptionists and they'll help you get to all the classes.

The following week (March 12-15) is Spring Break! Have fun, relax, and enjoy your time off! Classes will resume Monday, March 19th.

5. Wash-A-Thon - Outreach Project

Experience Arts School [E.A.S.] has community outreaches every year. This year we are having a Wash-A-Thon for the I-Help group (homeless women that need overnight shelter, the church houses them several times a month) that is served at Hillsong Church Phoenix, Mesa Campus. This will be an amazing time of fellowship as we wash laundry for them and put together little bags of the essentials that each woman will need. This is a family event, so please come and bring everyone. We have cards of encouragement to make, laundry to fold, and baggies to assemble, so there will be something for everyone.

March 9th. The event will run from 2:00pm until 6:30pm.

The actual wash-a-thon will be at Plaza Laundromat at 4815 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85205, between Higley and Greenfield on Main.. With 3 shifts available:

2:00-3:30

3:30-5:00

5:00-6:30

Please follow this link to sign up:

https://www.allforgood.org/projects/P8oK9a8q

Items Needed:

  • Quarter drive. We will be collecting quarters to wash the linens for the I-Help women. There will be a bag for each class to collect quarters. The class that collects the most quarters will have a party with little goodies supplied by EAS.
  • Small item donations. We will be collecting toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, travel tissue pack, wet wipes, chapstick, and sunscreen. The women have to be able to carry everything they have with them every day. So please do not bring full size items.

For all questions and to pick your shift, please email casey@experienceartsschool.com. We look forward to seeing you and partnering with our community through I-Help.
