Hey EAS fam,
 
Our Christmas Joy Shows kick off in just a few short weeks. The pieces are coming together, and classes are putting the final touches on their routines. From acting to aerials, and everything in-between, our Fall Production of Christmas Joy is going to be amazing. We have 2 unique shows this semester, running December 4th and 6th. As always, our shows are FREE and you are encouraged to invite as many friends and family as you'd like. Our silent auction will be taking place in the lobby along with our concession table which you won't want to miss.

Let's dive into some quick info:

1. Halloween - After hearing from a majority of our families, we will NOT be having classes tomorrow, October 31st. Aerial classes are the ONLY classes that will still meet on the East side of the campus.

2. Show Details - Stay tuned...coming next week we will be releasing our Christmas Joy Show Order and full details on hair, make-up, what to wear and call times for each night.

3. Patrons & Program Advertising  - Our Patrons and Advertisers play a vital role at Experience Arts School, and help to ensure excellence in ministry and the arts for years to come. Contributions made through patron and advertising provide support for all activities, including student financial aid, faculty advancement, community outreach, public performances, ministry engagements, and new commissions. Hey EAS fam,

Let's dive in with some important updates.

1. Sneak Peek Week

SneakPeekWeek starts tomorrow, Monday Oct. 2nd and lasts till Thursday, October 5th. #SPW is a great way to see what your student has been up to and get a glimpse at what they're preparing for the Fall Show. Feel free to pop-in to the last 15 minutes of your child's class. If you have multiple kids in multiple classes at the same time, see our receptionist so we can get you in earlier.

2. Auditions

WE'VE ADDED 2 MORE AUDITION DATES

In order to ensure everyone has a chance to be included in this production, we have decided to extend the audition window by 2 more weeks.We will continue to promote the open call, and also ask that you and/or your child invite or mention to a friend the upcoming additional audition times (everything is more fun with friends). We are REALLY excited about this production and want to be sure that we can include everyone who might be interested.

Our additional audition dates will be:

Tuesday October 10th 7-9PM AND Thursday October 12th 7-9PM

Experience Arts School 655 E. University Dr. Mesa, AZ 85203 - Generations Center (most northwestern building on campus) 2nd floor. Follow the signs for auditions and be sure to fill out the audition form and pick your night!

3. State Fair & Fall Break

This year our performing companies will not be performing at the fair but we are planning a fun informal EAS night to hang and play at the Fair on October 14th (More details to come). Because of our late start this semester we will NOT be taking off for Fall Break, and all classes will continue as scheduled.

August 20th, 2017

Fall 2017 is off to a great start!  We had a great turnout for our first week and still have more students registering each day.  We hope you have had a chance to meet all of our new teachers.  

Tomorrow (Monday 8/21) we are launching our Master Mondays in both our music and dance departments.  This will be from 7-9 PM on the EAS floor.  Cost is $25 or sign up for the semester to get a discount.  Our first Masters are Marianne (GCU and Valley Christian) for music and Chelsea (CSU Fullerton and Disney) for dance.  Both of these ladies are excited to share their skills with you!  If you are already registered for our “unlimited classes” package this is INCLUDED for you!  Just show up ready to learn!

Do you have a desire to audition for one of our companies this fall?  Auditions are just a month away.  Starting this week EAS is offering mini intensives in our music, dance and theatre departments.  For ages 12 and older join us on Mondays from 5-7PM.  Cost for this 4 week session is $40.  Ages 7-11 has their own session so join us Wednesdays from 530-7.  Cost for the junior intensive is $30 for all 4 weeks.  If your student is accepted into company this cost will be applied towards your annual tuition for their company.

There is still time to register for classes!  Bring a friend to drop into your class this week!  Drop In classes are just $12 for dance, music, theatre, and art.  Aerial Drop Ins are $14.  If your friends love it, and you know they will, we will just apply this towards their semester tuition.  

Also, in case you haven’t heard devos are open to everyone now!  Tuesdays from 6-7PM we have devos for those 12 and older.  7-11 yrs old can join us on Wednesday from 5-530 for a devo geared for their age group.  Parents you are welcome to join us too!

Hey EAS Fam,
This weekend is jammed packed with goodness. Starting with our Pancake Breakfast on Saturday morning and wrapping up with our Blackbox Student Show on Sunday Evening. Check out the details below -

What better way to kick off our last month of classes then with our bi-annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast, this Saturday (APRIL 29th 8AM-10AM) at Applebee's. This time we are going to the Alma School & Baseline location. Bring the kids and the whole family. Get your face painted, take some selfies with our Superheroes and Princesses and stick around for some fun surprises! Our students and staff will be the running the whole restaurant, so make them earn those tips! Tickets are available at our 2 reception desks, ONLINE and at the door on Saturday.

After you've worked off those pancake calories, join us for our Student Blackbox performance. This show is a fundraiser towards scholarships and improvements and features pieces that will not fit in our Spring Show due to time, and is also a great place for us to feature our soloists. A homemade spaghetti dinner will be served along with fresh baked treats in the lobby. Tickets are available at the door for $10. 

Doors will open at 5:45pm at the Family Life Center of our Mesa campus.

Hey EAS Fam!

We can't believe that Colour Conference is only a day away, so we have some important info for you.

1. There is still a TINY bit of room left, so if you've been thinking about registering - now is the time! Reports and testimonies coming in from Sydney and New York are that conference is not to be missed and truly the Spirit of God is moving in the place. 2. No classes on Tuesday. Basically every room of our Mesa campus will be in use for Colour Conference, so there will be NO EAS classes on Tuesday, April 4th. We will STILL have classes on Monday, April 3rd (today).

We've made it past the half-way mark of this Spring semester and an exciting few months lie ahead!

Colour Conference

Colour Conference is only 2 weeks away! Ladies you can still register here - http://hillsong.com/colour/usa/ There is amazing programming for kids potty-trained up to 5th grade, and it's a FULL day of awesomeness that's happening. It's more like a mini one-day camp with all the games and activities that are planned.

EAS will have NO classes the day of Colour Conference, April 4th.

Pancake Breakfast - Saturday April 29th 8am-10am - $7

It's that time again for our All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast hosted at Applebee's. Featuring real live superheroes, princesses, face painting and bacon!!!. Since we started, this fundraiser has become more and more fun and is a GREAT Saturday morning adventure. Come hang with your friends, eat some pancakes and start your day of full and happy. 

Tickets are only $7 per person and are available from ALL company members (parents, your CO. member students have their tickets are should be selling and turning in money weekly) and at both reception desks.

Hey EAS fam,

Lots of info in this Newsflash, so let's dive in:

SNEAK PEEK & SPRING BREAK!

Starting on Monday (March 6th) we will once again be having Sneak Peek Week. This is where parents and family are encouraged to come pop in to the last 15 minutes of your child's class and see what they've been learning and working on. No visitor badge or special check-in is required. If you have multiple children in multiple classes at the same time, see one of our receptionists and they'll help you get to all the classes.

The following week (March 13-16) is Spring Break! Have fun, relax, and enjoy your time off! Classes will resume Monday, March 20th.

NEED A TISSUE?

If you have kids you already know this cold & flu session has been brutal. So in an effort to keep your kids and our staff as healthy as can be, we would like to ask that if your child has had a fever in the previous 24 hours, that you please keep them home from classes and allow them to get well. No one likes to miss, but it will help them get well faster, and keep germs from spreading to the rest of their friends. We have also purchased additional non-alcohol based hand sanitizers and disinfectant sprays for our rooms. COLOUR WOMEN'S CONFERENCE - APRIL 4

The Colour Conference is much more than an annual event that gathers thousands of women of all age, status and background. It is a story that now spans two decades and is several generations deep in its desire to champion the value, worth and contribution of women. It is hosted in several major cities around the world, with the heroes in the story being the individual girls who have risen in belief, potential and stature to bring influence, change and justice to their diverse and everyday worlds.

At the core of the conference is the story of divine grace and the wonder of a gracious God who desires only the best for His daughters. It is also a “leadership and humanitarian” conference, seeking (again) to inspire women to be the change they desire in the world. Happy New Year! With the Spring semester less than 2 weeks away, we wanted to get some important info and updates in your hands.

Matching Contributions - We would like to invite you to join with EAS and our Founder, Joani Castillo, in a dollar-for-dollar matching challenge. Pastor Joani has committed to match up to $250 in funds and EAS has pledged $500 for the first donations up to that amount. In other words, if you make a tax-deductible pledge of $250 or $500, EAS will actually receive $500/$1000.  EAS uses these tax-deductible donations to supply our scholarship fund. Every semester we receive between $5000-$7000 in requests, so the need is always great. With your help we are able to fulfill almost %100 of the requests that come in for assistance. It’s directly because of these generous donations that students are able to connect with their Creator and find their purpose through the arts. Please take a moment and consider partnering with us and DOUBLE your efforts with our matching contributions.

Hey EAS family!

Jesse here, wishing you an early Happy New Year! I hope your Christmas was filled with lots of family and laughter, and a good showing of presents never hurts either. As we approach the new year I wanted to let you know about a few things.

1. Every semester we award between $5000-$7000 in scholarships to deserving students. As we continue to grow as a community, we are in constant need of new partnerships with you our family. I would like to personally ask you to take a moment and think about making a tax-deductible donation toward our Spring scholarship fund. Every dollar we receive goes straight into our fund for kids. The need is always great, but time and again our EAS family has shown an equally great generous spirit which has continually allowed us to fulfill almost %100 of the scholarship requests that we receive. Thanks to the willing support of parents and extended family we have been able to provide hundreds of students the opportunity to develop their craft, become part of a family and grow closer to their Creator through EAS. I am truly believing that this will be our best year yet at EAS and I am excited to see where God takes us.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (MSG) Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night.

Remember on rehearsal nights SUNDAY 12/4, TUESDAY 12/6 & THURSDAY 12/8 we ask that you provide your own snack/meal for your student. Once they are finished with their piece(s) in the run-thru you are dismissed for the evening. On performance nights, EAS will provide food backstage.

Hey EAS family, Jesse here with some info about our upcoming Christmas Joy shows. First can I say thank you to everyone who participated and helped in our first ever Fall Festival this past Sunday. It was a great success, and the Blackbox performance following was stellar as well. We could not make these special events happen without your help, so thank you again to all who helped clean, setup, bake, host, tear-down, carpool, and so much more. We appreciate you!

Well, there may be 8 Sundays till Christmas, but there's only 4 till we head into Show Week and we are starting to ramp up on all things Christmas. So here's 4 quick bullet points, starting with -

1. Schedules and Details - Dress rehearsal and performance times, what day your child is on, and full details on hair, makeup, shoes and more can all be found HERE.

2. Christmas Baskets and Silent Auction - Looking for a unique gift for yourself or a friend this Christmas? You won't want to miss our Silent Auction happening all throughout show week, with online bids starting November 14th. You can take a look at these curated baskets HERE, and then see them in person in the lobby of show week. We hand craft these special gifts all through the generous donations of our EAS family.
